The Governing Body makes sure that the CCG runs effectively, efficiently, economically and with good governance.
It exists to serve patients, give confidence to the public, support clinicians and is accountable to NHS England.
Patient & Public Involvement Lay Member
Irene’s background is in partnership working - as an arts manager, as leader of a district council and as a consultant with a focus on working with young people and people with disabilities to develop new and improved services.
She has been a member of the Royal College of GPs Patient Partnership Group and has served as chair and member of voluntary sector bodies at local, regional and national levels.
Currently she chairs a charity which provides services for children and young adults with disabilities and complex health needs.
Involved in CCG Patient and Public Involvement since 2012, Irene is now making the move from Norwich to Suffolk.
The Governing Body meets every two months in public.
