The Governing Body makes sure that the CCG runs effectively, efficiently, economically and with good governance.
It exists to serve patients, give confidence to the public, support clinicians and is accountable to NHS England.
Patient & Public Involvement Lay Member
Pauline has an extensive background of Nursing at Ipswich Hospital, the Royal College of Nursing and the Ombudsman’s Office.
Her personal experiences of community and hospital services have allowed her to call on her knowledge and expertise to have a distinctive perspective on the quality and impact of health care provision in the area. Pauline has a particular interest in the needs of older people and vulnerable groups and would like to ensure that they have equal access to healthcare. As a nurse she was a proponent of partnership working to ensure maximisation of potential, dignity and that the voices of the service user is at the centre of development of services.
Pauline is a member of the Patient Participation Group at her local practice and was previously also a lay member at the West Essex Clinical Commissioning Group.
The Governing Body meets every two months in public.
