The Governing Body makes sure that the CCG runs effectively, efficiently, economically and with good governance.
It exists to serve patients, give confidence to the public, support clinicians and is accountable to NHS England.
Dr Imaad Khalid is a GP at Walton Surgery in Felixstowe and is a member of the Governing Body and Clinical Executive Committee.
Dr Khalid was brought up in Suffolk and returned following his medical training in London and Cambridge. He believes the CCG is in a strong position to improve patient experiences and outcomes throughout the health service across the large spectrum of providers in Ipswich and East Suffolk. He is a strong believer in breaking down traditional barriers between providers and aligning goals for the betterment of the patients he serves. His interests include service innovation and redesign through co-creation to ensure the highest quality outcomes.
He is married and has twin girls. He enjoys cricket, squash and painting in his spare time.
The Governing Body meets every two months in public.
