‘Breathing fresh air into respiratory care in Suffolk through the provision of inclusive, inspirational and meaningful activities to meet the evolving needs of healthcare professionals – for healthcare professionals by healthcare professionals.’
The Suffolk Respiratory Group was founded by five primary care nurses with specialist interest in respiratory care. The aim of the group is to create a forum to discuss and share knowledge of respiratory disease by offering educational meetings across the Suffolk locality. The content of the meetings are pertinent to all healthcare professionals interested in respiratory care, topics chosen by the attendees and delivered by local specialists.
The meetings not only provide exceptional clinical updates but also the opportunity to network and share best practice and are open to all health care professionals.
The group is supported by 7 of the major respiratory pharmaceutical companies who provide educational sponsorship towards the running of the meetings BUT have no influence on the meeting contents and the meetings are run completely without bias.
The group is affiliated to the Primary Care Respiratory Group –an Independent professional society supporting primary care health professionals. (www.pcrs-uk.org)
